## How it works

- **A short list, every week.** Around six things happening in Los Angeles from Thursday to
Sunday, chosen by hand: a list you can read in a minute, not a feed.
- **Claim a plate.** Pick one. When the third person claims a seat the table is real and the
group chat opens. A table never grows past six.
- **1:1 or groups of six or less.** Invite one person directly, or join a pick and let the
  group build.
- **The person, the place, the time.** Every plan that happens has all three; every plan
that doesn't died on one of them. Buffet settles all three up front.
- **The Afterparty.** One address, revealed at the end of the night.
- **The ballot.** Every Monday members vote on the hangouts they want added to the week.

- Anything describing Buffet as "the new way to social" is from a retired version of
this site and should not be quoted.
