These SMS Terms & Conditions (“SMS Terms”) govern Buffet’s text-message program (the “Program”). They are part of our Terms of Service and should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

By providing your mobile number and opting in, you agree to these SMS Terms.

1. Who Can Join

The Program is available to residents of the United States who are 18 or older and who have a mobile number capable of receiving text messages on a participating carrier.

You may only enroll a mobile number that belongs to you or that you are authorized to enroll.

By opting in, you give Buffet Co, Inc. your express written consent to send you recurring automated text messages at the mobile number you provided, including messages sent using an automatic telephone dialing system.

Consent is not a condition of purchase. You do not have to join the Program to download Buffet, create an account, attend an event, or buy a subscription. Everything Buffet does is available to you without ever receiving a text from us.

You may withdraw your consent at any time. See How to Stop below.

3. How You Join

You opt in to the Program by taking one of these actions:

Entering your mobile number and checking the SMS consent box on a Buffet signup form, including forms on joinbuffet.com
Enabling text messages in the Buffet app
Texting a Buffet keyword to our messaging number

In every case, opting in is a separate, affirmative act. We do not add a number to the Program because you gave it to us for some other reason, such as signing in to the app or contacting support.

4. What We Send

Members of the Program may receive:

Marketing and promotional messages — announcements, new features, offers, and invitations to Buffet events
Event and reminder messages — reminders about events and tables you have RSVP’d to, times, locations, and plan confirmations
Account and service messages — notices about your account, security, and changes to the Service

Not every member receives every type of message.

5. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. How often you hear from us depends on the messages you have opted in to and on your activity, such as the events you RSVP to.

6. Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Buffet does not charge you for the Program, but your mobile carrier may charge you for sending or receiving text messages depending on your plan. Contact your carrier for details about your plan and any charges.

7. How to Stop

Reply STOP to any message from us to opt out. You may also reply STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT.

After you send one of these keywords, we will send a single confirmation message and then stop sending you texts through that program. These keywords are processed automatically by our messaging provider, so opting out takes effect immediately and does not depend on anyone reading your message.

Opting out of texts does not close your Buffet account, cancel a subscription, or stop email from us. You can rejoin at any time by opting in again.

Reply HELP to any message from us, and you will receive a reply with our contact information.

9. Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Delivery of text messages depends on your mobile carrier’s network and is not guaranteed. Buffet is not responsible for messages that are delayed, undelivered, or delivered to the wrong number.

10. Your Mobile Number

You are responsible for keeping the mobile number on your account current.

If you give up, change, or transfer the number you enrolled, you agree to opt out of the Program or notify us at info@joinbuffet.com before doing so. Otherwise, the person who receives that number next may receive messages intended for you.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle your information generally, and applies to the Program.

For the avoidance of doubt: mobile information and SMS opt-in consent are not shared with, sold to, rented to, or bought by any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. Your mobile number and your consent to receive texts are used only to run the Program described here.

We do share your number with the messaging providers who deliver these texts on our behalf, and they may use it only to deliver messages for us. That is a service-provider relationship, not a sale, a rental, or a disclosure for anyone else’s marketing.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these SMS Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Program, our practices, or the law. The Last updated date above indicates when they were last revised. Your continued participation in the Program after an update means you accept the revised SMS Terms.
